Cee
Sharp (yep, just like the music note, C#) is a seasoned performer
and has been in many various bands, ranging from a 12-piece orchestra to
5-piece "cover" bands, to the current two-piece,
"Jackpot." A singer-songwriter, she approaches her music with a
passion. Having learned from the best, (her 3 older sisters sang in
church) music has always been a part of her life. "I love to
entertain and feel 'one' with the crowd. I feed off them, and
vice-versa. I feel blessed to have found my passion." Cee is
not a stranger to the recording studio. She's recorded jingles for radio
airplay &
recorded many songs---her own originals, as well as other fellow-musician's
works. A true
"Gemini," Cee brings her multi-tasking skills to the stage as a
percussionist and singer.
Zip
Schneider is the "other" half of Jackpot. He, too, is a seasoned
performer, being the "backbone" of the band. Zip plays keyboard live
& does all their
music arranging (and music programming) behind the scenes. Zip applies his wizardry
magic to every song, making Jackpot's live performances sound like a much larger
band. "I love for people to feel the beat---and 'that's' what makes people dance.
Even if they
just want to sit in their chair and tap their feet, I can get 'em moving!" Zip's performed in
many different venues, also-- from cruises to clubs. A Scorpio, Zip is
also part of the songwriting team of Jackpot.
Like "Yin and
Yang," (of the philosophy Feng Shui) they compliment one another to create beautiful harmony.
Along with performing
cover-tunes, JACKPOT composes their own original music.
Their title
song, "Girlfriend,"( from JACKPOT'S 1st all-original CD) was featured on
Oxygen network.
They also won an international songwriting contest online
(The Battle of the Web Bands) for their song, "Just For You."
Another original from their CD, "Are You Happy" was played nationally on
Music Choice.
Rolling Stone chose JACKPOT for their "Top 10
Editor's Pick" (for Independent Music) at the turn of the new Millennium.
